Glen Coe – 7 day guided walking holiday
Walking itinerary, routes & prices for Glen Coe
This holiday adventure offers a fantastic opportunity to experience and explore a wonderful region of Scotland in the very heart of the Scottish Highlands.
Glencoe and Fort William are probably the most popular tourist centres in Scotland. It encompasses one of the great areas in terms of sea and mountain landscapes in the country, backed by some of the biggest boldest and most demanding peaks in Britain.
This area could be described as Scotland’s fjord land, a drowned coastline with long sea arms winding far inland. Fort William lies at sea level at the mouth of one of these fjords, while just a few kilometres away is the rugged summit of Ben Nevis – at 1344 metres (4418 ft) the highest mountain in the British Isles gives an imposing backdrop to the town.
There are approximately forty peaks in this region over three thousand feet. Glencoe and Lochaber epitomizes everything to the walker. It is a vast, wild, distant country crowded with fine mountain peaks in every direction.
